Sioux Lookout, ON – Motorists in Sioux Lookout should plan for short delays on Thursday as the section of Wellington Street affected by floods in 2022 is repaved.
“The detour will be the same as it was last year,” explained Public Works Operations Manager, Mat Lelonde. “Traffic will be diverted between 4th Avenue South and 5th Avenue South via York Street until the repairs are completed.”
The Wellington Street closure and detour will begin around 8:00 a.m. Thursday, June 29th, and will remain closed until work is completed in the early evening.
Signs and barricades will be in place. Motorists are reminded to respect private property in the area. Do not take ‘shortcuts’ around the detour through private property.
