Sioux Lookout, ON – The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is pleased to have been named one of the 2022 recipients of the Closed-Circuit TV (CCTV) Grant from the Ministry of the Solicitor General. Sioux Lookout, ON – The landfill fees for waste disposal will be increasing for residents of Sioux Lookout.
“The landfill fee increase is based on the annual Consumer Price Index (CPI) as reported in June each year by Statistics Canada,” explained Jeff Hawley, Manager of Public Works and Infrastructure. “The landfill does not receive any funding from your tax dollars, it is a user pay system. This means the landfill fees charged must generate all of the money it needs to operate in a year.”
