Sioux Lookout, ON – A pending change in operator for the Sioux Lookout “Hub Transit” program will see no immediate changes to services for riders. The Municipality of Sioux Lookout will assume operations of the local transit service effective July 4, 2022.

Sioux Lookout, ON – The Municipality of Sioux Lookout is preparing for some major clean-up efforts as the spring flood waters continue to recede.
Municipal Clerk, Brian P. MacKinnon, says, “there is a lot of work to be done around Sioux Lookout. A number of Municipal properties have been covered in debris, much like our waterfront businesses and residents.” MacKinnon adds, “We are taking several steps to work with the community to minimize the costs of cleaning up the debris.”

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout will be undertaking its routine, seasonal clean-up of decorative items left at gravesites over the past season that have now become unsightly and/or cause an obstruction to grounds maintenance at the three Municipally-operated cemeteries, namely: Hillcrest, Sacred Heart, and Northway.
