Holiday Office Closures

Please note the following Municipal Department closures over the holiday season. The closures are reflective of changes in regularly scheduled hours. Departments that would normally be closed on weekends will remain closed on weekends during this period.

Please note: These dates and times are subject to change, based on the evolving public health guidelines with respect to the COVID-19 pandemic. Changes and updates will be communicated through the Municipality’s website (www.siouxlookout.ca) and social media feeds.

Airport Administration Offices

• December 25, 2021 through January 3, 2022

Emergency Services and By-law Enforcement/Animal Control

• December 21^st, 27^th, 28^th, 31^st and January 3^rd

Municipal Administration Offices (25 Fifth Avenue)

• CAO Office: December 24^th at noon, through January 3, 2022.
• Corporate Services/Clerk’s Department: December 24^th at noon, 27^th, 28^th, 31^st at noon, and January 3^rd
• Development Services: December 24^th at noon, 27^th, 28^th, 31^st at noon, and January 3^rd
• Economic Development Office: December 20, 2021 to January 3, 2022.
• Finance Department: Closing at noon on December 24^th; closed December 27^th, 28^th, 31^st at noon, and January 3^rd.
• Human Resources: December 24, 2021 through January 3, 2022

Municipal Child Care Centres

• December 20^th through December 31^st (reopening Monday, January 3, 2022).

Public Works (Emergency Contact for Roads, Water, Sewer: 737-1234)

• Public Works Operations – December 25^th and 26^th.
• Hidden Lake Landfill -  open from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. on December 24^th then Closed the 25^th, reopening the 28^th. Closed January 1^st.

Recreation and Culture Department

• Recreation Centre/Arena – December 24^th at noon; closed December 25^th, 26^th, 27^th, 28^th; closed December 31^st at noon; closed January 1^st, 2^nd and 3^rd.

Sioux Lookout Public Library

• December 25^th through 28^th and December 31^st through January 4^th.
