Sioux Lookout, ON – The Municipality of Sioux Lookout wishes to provide an update to the community regarding Hub Transit Service. The local transit service was suspended in early August, to enable the Municipality to make certain changes to operational requirements, to meet provincial regulations.
“Over the last six weeks, we have been working diligently to ensure our operations are in full compliance with provincial guidelines, as well as reviewing data on the service’s delivery, with the aim of enhancing service provision to meet the evolving needs of the community,” explained Brian P. MacKinnon, Manager of Corporate Services and Municipal Clerk.
MacKinnon continued, “as we draw closer to being able to reinstate the transit service, we will be seeking community input in the form of a survey, the responses to which will help inform possible changes to operations to better meet the needs of the community.”
The survey is available via this link – https://www.surveymonkey.com/r/HubTransitSurvey – or you may pick-up a hard copy at the Municipal Office during regular business hours. The survey will be open until October 12, 2022. The public is encouraged to complete the survey.
The Municipality will continue to update the public regarding the Hub Transit service, including planned date of resumption of service, and any changes to routes or other operational matters in the coming weeks.
