TAKE NOTICE THAT the Council of The Corporation of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout will consider the passing of an amendment to the Zoning By-law No. 85-18 to remove a Holding (H) Symbol at the Regular Council Meeting on Wednesday, June 19, 2024, at 5:30 p.m. in the Municipal Council Chambers, 25 Fifth Avenue, Sioux Lookout, Ontario, P8T 1A4. The application has been submitted under Section 36(4) and Section 34 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter p. 13, as amended, by JAMB Developments Inc., for the property located at Sturgeon River Road in the Municipality of Sioux Lookout. The subject property is shown on the attached Key Map.
THE PURPOSE of the amendment is the removal of the Holding (H) Symbol on lands legally described as LOCATION CL 19335 BEING PART OF BLOCK 10, MUNICIPALITY OF SIOUX LOOKOUT. The removal of the Holding (H) Symbol is required in order to permit future development on the subject property. The conditions for removal of the Hold (H) symbol are included in Zoning By-law No. 85-18, as amended through By-law No. 52-23. The subject property is currently located within the Residential Shoreline Exception Ten Holding (RS-10(H)) Zone.
ANY PERSON who wishes to provide comments on this proposed amendment must submit a written request to the Planning Coordinator in advance of the Council Meeting.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION relating to the proposed amendment is available for inspection between 9:00 a.m. and 4:00 p.m., Monday to Friday, in the Department of Development Services at the Municipal Office, 25 Fifth Avenue, Sioux Lookout, Ontario, P8T 1A4.
