TAKE NOTICE that the Council of the Corporation of the Municipality of Sioux Lookout intends to pass a By-law pursuant to Section 34 of the Municipal Act, 2001, to close part of a road allowance at the location described below, pursuant to Sections 8 and 9 of the Municipal Act, 2001, to authorize the sale of the lands to the owners of the abutting lands. The subject lands are locally known as 660 Sturgeon River Road and are legally known as RANGE 1 PT LOT 21 PCL 39382 PART 1 ON KR62 and are shown on the included Key Map.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that the By-law will be considered by Council at a Public Hearing on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at 5:30 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Office.
AND FURTHER TAKE NOTICE that any person wishing to comment on the proposed closing or sale is requested to submit comments in writing to the Manager of Development Services at the below address.
If you wish to provide comments on the proposed closing or sale, please do so in writing to the Manager of Development Services in advance of the Public Hearing. You may also provide verbal comments by calling 807-737-2700 ext. 2244 and the comments will be transcribed and presented at the Public Hearing. If you wish to participate or speak at the Public Hearing, please contact the Manager of Development Services by noon on Wednesday, December 13, 2023. A copy of the draft By-law may be inspected during municipal business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by any interested party in the Development Services Department at the Municipal Office, prior to the passing thereof. A copy of the draft By-law may also be inspected by email by contacting the Manager of Development Services during municipal business hours from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. by any interested party, prior to the Public Hearing. This Notice is given pursuant to the Municipal Act, 2001, and the Municipality’s Land Sale and Notice By-law.
