Utility and Tax Billing During Canada Post Strike

Sioux Lookout, ON – With this morning’s announcement of strike action at Canada Post, the Municipality of Sioux Lookout reminds residents that utility and property tax billing will continue on their regular schedules.

Investments over the past several years allow residents to sign up for electronic billing, which delivers your regular utility and tax bills directly to your email address. This allows for seamless delivery and processing, even during events like the current postal work stoppage.

To register for utility and property tax e-billing, you will need the account holder’s name, your account number or property roll number, service address, phone number, and a valid email address.

Residents can sign up by filling out the forms on our website.
·        Utility e-Billing Registration: https://slkt.me/eUtilities
·        Property Tax e-Billing Registration: https://slkt.me/eTaxes

Please note that registration for each service is separate and registering for one will not automatically enrol you in e-billing for both.

Please remember that your Municipal utility and property tax bills are still due on time, regardless of the postal situation affecting delivery of paper statements. Payments may be made online, through your financial institution, by clicking the “Make A Payment” link at https://www.siouxlookout.ca, or in person at the Sioux Lookout Municipal Office.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping your account up-to-date during the Canada Post strike. If you have questions, or require assistance, please contact us directly.
