TAKE NOTICE THAT an application for Consent has been submitted under Section 53 of the Planning Act, R.S.O. 1990, Chapter p. 13, as amended, by Jody Morin for the lands legally described as CON B PT LT 29 RP 23R9254 PT 1 PCL 38273 DKF AND LOC CL 11777 RP 23R10477 PT 1 PCL 42510 DKF DRAYTON TWP (herein referred to as “Lot 1”). Lot 1 currently contains a single detached dwelling. The Consent application proposes to facilitate lot line adjustments between the adjacent properties legally described as DRAYTON CON B PT LOT 29 RP 23R9254 PARTS 2 AND 3 PCL 40851 LOC CL11977 RP 23R10573 PARTS 1 AND 2 42633 DKF (herein referred to as “Lot 2”) and CON B PT LT 29 RP23R7760 PT 1 LESS 23R9254 PT 3 PCL18929 DRAYTON TWP (herein referred to as “Lot 3”).

 

The purpose and effect of the Consent application is to facilitate a future transfer of Anderson’s Lodge, located on Lot 2, to new owners. The proposed lot line adjustments will ensure that the lodge’s amenities (such as parking and dock access) are located within the property’s boundaries.

 

The approximate proposed lot areas and lot frontages for the ultimate lot layout are included in Table 1.

The Municipality of Sioux Lookout Committee of Adjustment will hold a Public Hearing on Tuesday, February 18, 2025, at 5:00 p.m. in Council Chambers at the Municipal Office to consider this application. 

 

If you wish to provide comments on the application, please do so in writing to the Development Services Department in advance of the Public Hearing. You may also provide verbal comments by calling 807-737-2700 ext. 2234 and the comments will be transcribed and presented at the Public Hearing. Further, if you wish to speak at the Public Hearing, please contact the Planning Coordinator by noon on Tuesday, February 18, 2025. If comments are not received by the above date, the Committee of Adjustment will assume there are no comments or concerns.

 

Only individuals, corporations and public bodies may appeal a Consent to the Ontario Land Tribunal. A notice of appeal may not be filed by an unincorporated association or group. However, a notice of appeal may be filed in the name of an individual who is a member of the association or the group on its behalf.

 

Furthermore, no person or public body shall be added as a party to the hearing of the appeal unless, before the Consent was approved, the person or public body made oral submissions at a public meeting or written submissions to the Committee or, in the opinion of the Ontario Land Tribunal, there are reasonable grounds to add the person or public body as a party.

 

If you wish to be notified of the decision of the Committee of Adjustment of Sioux Lookout with respect to the proposed Consent, you must make a written submission to the Municipality of Sioux Lookout located at 25 Fifth Avenue, Sioux Lookout, Ontario, P8T 1A4, or by email to [email protected].

 

Additional information relating to the proposed Consent can be provided for public inspection at the Development Services Department at the Municipal Office located at 25 Fifth Avenue, Sioux Lookout, Ontario, P8T 1A4, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Monday to Friday.
